The Intensive English Program consists of 22.5 hours of instruction per week plus 6 hours of free lab time with computers, video and audio equipment. Below are the monthly costs:

Note: Prices may change without notice.
* To get this discounted rate, payment must be received for the entire 3 months in advance. If student leaves Conversa before the three-month period, a $100 penalty will be charged for withdrawing early from classes and then must pay the regular monthly rate for the classes taken (or an additional $100 penalty will be charged if housing has also been paid for.) Refunds will be given after the penalty is deducted.
Extra Expenses: Students should bring an extra $150-250 per month to cover additional expenses, transportation, shopping and entertainment. Field trips to places like amusement parks, the zoo, museums, canoeing, horseback riding, etc. cost between $15 and $45. Health Insurance: Health insurance is optional. You may be able to purchase it in your country or you may use a company that Conversa recommends. If you get sick you will pay a lot of money for doctor or hospital visits. Ask the Director of Conversa for more information. All students are advised that Conversa does not assume responsibility for any injury or accident which may arise in connection with student activities whether connected with education, housing or otherwise.
The 4-week Intensive General English Program tuition includes the following:
- 22.5 hours of group classes.
- Use of Study Lab to improve on listening comprehension, pronunciation, and study for TOEFL test.
- Use of a personal Student Advisor who will help you achieve your goals (English fluency, pass the TOEFL, enter an American university), make sure that you are comfortable with your housing situation, and act as a personal counselor for any problems you might encounter.
- 4 hours of computer lab with electronic mail (e-mail) and Internet Access, and your own e-mail mailbox.
- Transportation to and from airport.
- Welcome materials, map of Cincinnati, schedule of local cultural activities, schedules of buses.
- Certificate of Achievement and Certificate of Attendance
Certificate of Achievement: Students will obtain a certificate of achievement after satisfactory completion of their current level and obtaining 85% on the Conversa Level Exam.
Certificate of Attendance: Students will obtain a certificate of attendance after attending every day classes of the current monthly session.

* Price does not include meals. Students must purchase and prepare their food. A supermarket is 200 meters from the house. If the Conversa International House house is full, temporary housing may be provided in an apartment. Costs for apartments vary depending on the student's length of stay in Cincinnati.

To reserve a room at the Conversa International House or host family, you must send a $200 deposit 30 days in advance.
Payment Procedure: Payment may be made by cashiers check, money order, traveler's check or payment may be wired to our bank. We also accept credit cards but there is a 3% service charge added to the total cost to process the credit card payment. For bank wire transfers, please E-mail us so we can send you the bank account information.
