Conversa's group classes are small, with three to eight students. This is where our conversational method really goes to work. You will find yourself buying groceries at a Paris supermarket, checking into a Mexico City hotel, or introducing yourself at an Osaka business meeting. A grammatical lesson plan for each class provides structure to the conversational method.
Conversa offers group classes in Spanish, German, Italian, French, and Japanese. Unlike most programs which charge extra fees when class size is small, Conversa's classes are the same affordable price whether there are three students or eight.
Many of Conversa's students find that the small-group environment of the classes motivates them to learn. They meet other students, with whom they can practice their new language.
Conversa's Situational Reinforcement Method (SRM) of teaching is simple but effective. SRM, which is used by the U.S. Foreign Service and Peace Corps, can be summed up as follows:
At Conversa, we know you only have a few hours a week in class. So we conduct as much of the class as possible in the target language. When you leave each class, you will feel great satisfaction having spoken in your new language!
Conversa's instructors are experienced, well-educated professionals who love to teach. They are all trained in Conversa's unique conversational method. Many have experience teaching in universities and in foreign countries.
