Social Life

When you arrive at the Greater Cincinnati International Airport a Conversa staff member will meet you. At this moment you will know that you are with friends. Conversa's staff and teachers will help you have a good social life by:

• helping you make friends with other students and Americans.
• organizing weekend trips to ski resorts, campgrounds, horseback riding stables, swimming pools and amusement parks.
• taking students to local discos, rock and jazz clubs, concerts and parties on the weekend.
• We have a pizza party on the last day of each month as well as monthly parties at teachers' houses or the Conversa House.
• planning international dinners where students prepare traditional foods.
• Hospitality Host Program - This program allows you to meet with an American individual or family at least once a month. Activities include going to parties, restaurants, parks, museums, etc. It is a great way to get to know Americans.
• Make Friends with America - This program includes: 1 field trip a month. It is optional and open to all students. There is an extra cost which covers travel and admission fee. The Make Friends With America! Summer Program (4 weeks) is offered during the months of June to September. There is 1 field trip per week to businesses, factories, local places of interest such as King's Island Amusement Park and social activities during the weekends.
